International shipment of a watch, DHL?

    Hello

My apologies to ask once again, this topic must have been opened many times. But couriers do change their rules frequently.

Shipment is within Europe, value about 4000 pounds,

Fedex, UPS exclude watches above 500 pounds.
Royal Mail does not do it.
    Parcelpro no longer serves private.
Ferrari courier is phenomenally good but phenomenally expensive.
The guy who has spinned out of Parcelpro does not reply

Is it true that DHL express does accept watches and insures them to 4000 pounds? Anybody has used it?

    Or alternatives?
    Thanks for your help

    Franco, Sheffield

Check my old posts, there will be a thread about similar (not started by me) but will cover this topic.
Basically, don’t rely on DHL. Use any shipper but get private insurance.

Funny thing about the DHL, last time when I've received the watch from UK, they sent it to the customs agency and I've lost some time and heath to sort it out.

4,000 pounds is very heavy for a watch, as is 500 Pounds.

I'm currently waiting for an Erika's Original strap. She uses DHL for shipment. I'm waiting 6 days now for a parcel that has to be shipped from Frankfurt to my address. Basically a 3.5 hrs drive trip...

Any insurer recommendations? Just had a watch lost by Royal Mail (not an expensive one), & their claim process is dogsh*t.

    This may work:

    I use Inforsure - IFS Inforsure Inc.www.shipinforsure.com.

email Jeroen Sparreboom at: js@ifs-inforsure.com and mention TZ and he should reply back that you can use him as a reference and can help get you set up as a private collector. Cost me $14 to insure a recent £4,500 watch posted in UK.
