Stunning watch!
Lovely watch. I imagine trying to get hold of one of at my local AD is pointless though.
Stunning watch!
50th anniversary this year. Does anyone think the ceramic bezel will make an appearance on a new version this year?

Explorer week, so here are a couple of fresh ones
Nono, you have meet teetering here. Half regret for selling mine and half excitement to see what's coming. As always absolutely stunning pictures.
Only just found this thread; the Polar Exp II (42mm) is my daily wearer and gets a beating. I never take it off for any activity and after 8 or so years it still looks great; dinks, scratches and all. I had a GMT IIc which I hated as it was so flash and shiny, so traded it in for the Exp II at the AD - and I am so glad I did.
I’ll upload some of my photos when I get chance.
Two replies on this thread sadden me; the poster who admitted to buying one and keeping it in the safe, unopened and fully stickered as an investment (the WRONG reason to buy a watch, and depriving others of the opportunity) and the poster who ‘forgot’ he’d put himself down for a £6k watch and was surprised to get the call, asking if he could ‘think about it’. WTF? I’m glad he bought it in the end, but just shows people are desperate for *any* Rolex steel sports model and just put their names down without any real consideration. Sad, to quote Trump.
I've had mine since 2013 when my wife and I treated ourselves to wedding watches - dunno why my wife wanted a new watch - there's a perfectly good clock on the oven... (that was part of my wedding speech and I've been paying for it ever since!). The E2's been a great time piece with outstanding legibility that I still get a lot of pleasure out of and has sentimental value. Only issue was a 24hr hand click spring that broke in 2019 - apparently earlier 3187's were prone to this (as was the GMT's 3186) and it was replaced with a stronger item at some point (as was mine during the £585 service).

Thank you man!
Always nice to hear a compliment from a pro photographer!
First in the world LIVE shot of the new 2021 Rolex Explorer 2 #226570
As you can see, new model also features bright Chromalight lume, which insures extra readability in caves and during long climbs on Everest. It has the same all steel, tool-like case which handles battle scars like a champ.
BTW if you made it this far, you've been pranked (it's actually old model 216570). And I should kept my mouth shut because you couldn't tell the difference
Great shots as always!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
IMHO Probably the best looking sports model and so photogenic.
To be honest, I'll agree 100% with you. Just recently I was browsing Rolex.com and trying to find equvalent in therms of a tool watch that can handle scraches and almost every situation like Explorer 2 (White or Black). And Explorer 1 comes close, but Ex2 has that little edge (with GMT and all). And I'm not saying because I have it, my favorite model was Submariner when I was buying the Polar and at first I thought I made a wrong decision but now, I wouldn't change it.
There was a lot of new shots, but only a handfull of Polar, so here are some new ones. Thanx for looking
Fantastic pics, are you on Instagram?
Thank you. Yes I am, check out: https://www.instagram.com/portalsatova/
Nice photos. I like the crown top on the aftershave.
You should work for Rolex. Superb pictures.
Great photos thanks.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Thanx guys for all your positive comments
Jup, me too. It looks like a TripLock crown on their sports models. Really nice packing, and that crown top is actually metal
Hey Rolex, If you're reading this, take Justin's advice
Thanx man!
Almost forgot the 'wave' shot
Guys I would like to ask a small favour, it will only take few seconds of your time. So on Instagram there is one competition for watch photographers which ran for 24 weeks, and from hundreds of photographers only 24 of them made it to the Finals. One of them is me (@PortalSatova), so what I would like to ask you, if you have a couple seconds of your time to check out these stunning shots and pick your favorite. BTW, if you fancy my shot, I would be really grateful.
Vote for the winner at:

My shot which made it to the finals is this:
Thank you for your time and for the great comments in this thread
Cheers
Voted, good luck!
Have voted.
There are some really nice photos there, but yours definitely take the biscuit.

Voted good luck. Many of yours would be the winner.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Voted for you but thought the shot of the Sinn U1 was very good.
Voted! Some decent concurrence but yours is definitely my favourite!

Thanx a lot guys for voting and for support. There are some preety epic shots in this competiton and far better than mine. But thank you all for voting
BTW I just did this shot a few days ago. Wanted to capture that default Rolex catalog pose of all their models (hands ad 10:10 and 28'th on the date). The Polar is actually submerged in water tank and the 'fog' effect is created with milk dissolving in water. Thanx for looking
Cheers
Love it, very clever!
Beautiful photography; thanks for sharing. I have now voted - yours is my favourite, though there are definitely a few other quite good shots. I must say however that I’ll never understand people photographing a watch set on top of a plate of food.

Guys thank you all for voting for me. I managed to get 4'th place, and this was a winning shot
So I tried these shots the other day, just can't figure out which one I like the best. So I'll just post both of them ;)
it's been a while since I've worn Polar. Forgot how understated that watch is. Here are some fresh ones
Wow, love the one in the ice above.
