I'm finding myself drawn to the 'big triangle' vintage 300mm divers but I won't be paying north of £5k for a vintage model. Therefore i'm wondering what more modern alternatives might there be? I hesitate to use the word 'homage' but in this case, I will make an exception.
Thank you!
Search for the Omega Seamaster Peter Blake, model numbers 2264.50.00 is the quartz, while the auto is 2254.50.00. It’s a 41mm diver that isn’t as thick as the current vintage.
The alternative in aesthetics is a first generation Planet Ocean.
I’d go for a cwc
Which cwc model?
I am very happy with this CWC RN AUTO DATE MK2 (RN300-MT AS120-D):
I had a couple of Seamaster 300's made up with movements sourced from vintage Omega's when the dial and handsets were made available for a while by Omega. Sold both. Now have a CWC 1980 reissue in c3 Lume which I think is a great watch. Not disimilar, both have similar bezels

With respect the CWC isn't much like the SM300.
Eddie needs to re-make the PRS-14 asap.

dial, sword hands, bezel, polished case
I wanted the look of the SM300 but didn't fancy the price of an original or the WatchCo version. Picked this one up from SC.
