    Rolex Explorer 2 Eye Candy

    Hi Guys,
so since you liked my last "Eye Candy" thread, I thought I'd show you some shots of my Explorer 2 Polar. One of the last tool watches made by Rolex and it's been used the same. Working on everything, from cooking to chopping wood, I don't baby it at all. One of my favorite pieces I have because I like the "Under the radar" feel of it, and the proportions are spot on for my arm (I'm a big guy and the earlier model is a tad too small). Anyway, you know everything there is to know about this model, so let the pics do the talking.

    Hope you like 'em. Cheers

Nice pics mate. Polar dial Explorer II is such an incredible watch. I don’t go in for the whole ‘grail’ thing but if I had the cash to spare and could just pick one watch this would be it. Not my pic, saw it on Insta (credit to the owner) but think it looks amazing:

Nono, your watch photography is exquisite. You must have invested hundreds of hours learning the skills that allow such amazing photos.

    Some lovely pictures here.

What is the availability of this model at the moment?

Insanely great photos! Love the Explorer II! Are we definitely all for the white dial over black?

Fantastic shots. You’ve got me missing my old black dial version badly now.

So much so I’m seriously considering how to get one!

Very nice. I remember a time that Heathrow Rolex would always have stock of these, those were the days. I never added one of these, beginning to really grow on me now.

They are fantastic, have also got me thinking a 42mm Polar would sit very well with my 40mm.

First of all Guys, I don't want to name each individual, but thank you very much for all the comments. Really glad that you like the pictures.

Actually your's it's better. Snow and Polar are THE Combo! Love the shot, too bad we aren't getting too much snow these days here.

It really is a candidate for go anywhere / do anything watch. Except formal dinner situations (witch I don't do too often) I think it's a perfect match. It's all brushed so it can blend in with almost any type of clothing and it's good enough for skiing, swimming and cave diving. One thing that looks good on it are scratches, unlike the new polished/bruished ceramic models from Rolex.

Thank you mate. Well yeah, but I don't consider it as 'investment' cause I do it for fun. It's a therapeutic process in some way, beats paying the Shrink any day

Professional? I'm afraid far from it, only do this as a hobby. But thank you, really appreciate it!!!

Don't wait too long, next year is the Annv. of Explorer, so they will get the new Ex models out with new movements. And you know when that happens...well you know :)

Haha! It was actually more a question of exposure compensation than WB. However, what do I know - I don’t go out in daylight
