SLA037 as one watch that you ever gonna need and use...beautiful piece

so this is the second set of recreations of the same originals?
SLA025J1 was issued in 2018 and limited to 1,500 pieces - recreation of 6159-7001
SLA017J1 was issued in 2017 and limited to 2,000 pieces - recreation of 62MAS
so we should now expect another second re-issue - the 6106-811X which was "reissued" as the SLA033J1 and limited to 2,500 was "reissued in 2019

Seiko divers are the new Omega Speedmaster.
I like the look of the SLA037, but not the cost. Significantly more than the SLA017.
Fantastic watches, crazy prices. SLA039 is my favorite from here. These are some of their best releases of last few years. They are releasing too many special editions but when they are as good as these, I am not complaining.
i'm surprised that they have not decided to reissue the SBDX001
Lovely subtle colour, lovely designs, but ludicous money. The 3 will set you back €18 000 (adding individual prices together). For 3 tool watch re-issues. The world has gone mad.

Beautifull, but the prices! I'd have thought anyone who could afford them would already own the previous re-releases?

A lovely set of watches. But as said before silly money.

I like the watches, but not at those prices.
In general, Seiko seem to be trying to push themselves up market and charge higher and higher prices. I'm not sure I like it as I always thought Seiko were in a good place before.
I've seen pics of a 'cheaper' 62MAS floating around on IG. Around the $1k mark with the 6R movement. Need to find a hi-res pic.
+1, Looks great but a bit too pricey for me...
Also, this latest Hi Beat version is 14.7mm thick whereas the SLA017 was 14.1mm and that felt thick enough really.
The new SPB149J1 automatic with the 6R35 is only 13.2mm thick which is much more like it..

but as I indicated above, these are "recreations" of watches that Seiko "recreated" 2 or 3 years ago
with a price increase of Euros 1,000+ on the earlier "re-issues"
Great that Seiko are no longer using Diashield on LE models!
The new 62MAS also has higher spec steel. I’m no metallurgist so can’t verify the difference it may make but if funds allow in June, I may try and pick one of these up. Loving the fact that they’re 40mm!

I'm not a speculator by any means, plus they are way out of my price range, but are these most likely to be bought as investments and never worn, with the expectation they appreciate?
I really like those, but the price is prohibitive for me.
It's just a matter of time...
I'm a big seiko fan and I like all 3 of those but the price?
Seriously seiko for me is supposed to be honest good quality watches at an acceptable price, where do these sit now in relation to grand seiko? To me at this price they should have GS on the dial..
To give a car analogy its like charging more for a Seat than an Audi ...

Pricing is nuts. Even second hand after depreciation they'll still be a bit rich for me.
A quick look on the UK Seiko site reassures me that you can still buy reasonably priced models for them.
Recreations of watches rivailing the price of GS with no assurance they won't simply recreate some more next year seem to be a bit off message from this excellent maker.
I will treat myself to one of their reasonably priced watches soon and hope that they recreate it in a few years time.

Overall super nice watches but Seiko is making so lot limited editions, special editions, colour versions etc....
The SLA039 looks ace, 7k euro though. Ouch.
They all look amazing, way too expensive though.
As everybody else has said beautiful watches but expensive .

Lovely pieces but the pricing is definitely a sore point.
They look excellent but not so sure about at those prices though

Yes the prices are eye opening
