    Coronavirus self isolation

I returned from Venice on 20 February. Started to develop symptoms on 24 February, self isolated from then.

I was swabbed on Friday 28 February and as I post this I still have not been provided with the results. That is over 96 hours.

    What do you guys think.

Apparently incubation time should be 2 weeks, so it depends more when did you get there rather than when You came back. For the moment jould suggest to keep well hydrated with paracetamol at need.

Ps: just read that in some cases has been as low as 4-5 days

Phone your GP, and see if the result is back.

The Brits in quarantine from Wuhan were only tested toward the end of their 14 day isolation (I think day 10 or 11). A test 4 days after returning is unlikely going to show anything.

Sorry to hear that and hope you end up being clear. How clear were the self-isolation instructions? I thought it would mean no contact with anyone for 14 days and wondered how on earth anyone would do that, except those who live alone obviously.

However Italian authorities said people could leave the house, be in open outdoor spaces and use small (defined by what?) shops but no large supermarkets or stores.

Agreed. I would phone the GP to confirm, as they have a habit of not letting you know if a test comes back OK.

If you are in need of top choice basmati rice and/or Haribo, there are a few forum members with a good stash.
