NOS - what a joke, out of the AD by the back door more like.

Why’s it entombed in a swathe of cling film?
How on earth can they describe this as NOS when it’s a 2020 watch?!
Simon
Surely a 5 year old minimum for such a description?
Genuine question, am I missing something? If it's a 2020 watch surely it should be the ceramic? I get the NOS bit is why they're claiming its a 2020 watch but it's not really is it? Surely its a 201X watch that's been sat around for a while, you just can't claim it's a 2020 watch surely?
Not a current model hence why they describe as NOS. Question really is the year of manufacture. Sounds like it has been sat at an AD for a while without activating the warranty card
Funny how “there’s a seven year wait,Sir”
And then they find one down the back of the sofa.
Never registered as sold by AD hence warranty card is still empty
Probably because that model was discontinued years ago, with the last models delivered to an AD likely to have been Q1 2016?
Does beg the question how it remained unsold, or why the stickers/wrapping are not as they tend to be and no black barcode visible on the case side.
A number of "old" models are still in the system....
The January 2020 Rolex UK price list still shows :
16710 GMT on 78790A bracelet - now £6,650
16570 Explorer II on 78790A bracelet - now £6,250
...and there have previously often been "legacy" entries of models no longer produced, but which appeared in the price lists for a couple of years (with adjusted prices at each occasion).
"My watch is from 2014" : do we mean manufactured (and if so, which parts?), supplied to the main agent or sold to you in 2014?
Looking round dealers' websites the details, model numbers, dates, etc are often wrong - typos probably, or carelessness. The only exception I've found has been Haywood's site which is meticulous with detail.
Edit: Caught in the act!!
That's the older model, so yes NOS. Presumably they filled in the card in 2020 which seems to be confusing some
No Ken, what confuses me is that the advert clearly describes it as a 2020 watch.
For the man in the street that’s clearly misrepresentation as he would assume it’s a current model... most punters don’t have the kind of detailed knowledge that is common here!
Simon
People make mistakes.., it’s a New watch
Calm down why all the drama....
