I have to agree and I was on the verge of ordering one. Then I spotted the dimensions; 45mm. I suspect that would drown my 16cm wrist and just look wrong on me.

45mm is not so bad, as long as the watch is not too deep, this one is listed as 13.5mm.
I'm a bit reluctant to pre-order, given that you've no guarantee the company will be around to ship in May, but that's just my personal worry factor.
I really liked the look of the Zodiac in Gulf when it was released but that was sold out within moments and now are commanding high prices (if you can find one).
When I'm back from a wild and windy walk on the beach this morning, I'll have another look.

I have the Gulf on pre-order. I also own a Bomber 2, which is a truly lovely watch, but I just haven't "bonded" as people seem to say. Really must stick it on SC at some point.
I have a 44mm tag f1 Gulf which is thin and I imagine this wears similarly, I’ve a thing about the gulf colours so think I’ll be ordering one when my bonus arrives
