Another one from CWC - The Lost Boy

The non-date option is much the better of the two.

I'd didn't even notice there was a non date version. Now that I've seen it I like the watch a lot more.

    Looks spot on to me

    >>Update - I can resist everything but temptation - have just ordered one

That’s a great idea, and will make a very nice and practical watch

So far this year they’ve released the Mellor-72 mechanical and now this. Both look to be pretty good value. If you had a grand to spend, but could only buy one brand, you could do a lot worse than CWC.

If the lug width is the same as the G10 a 20mm Eulit Perlon will fit

I move the same 20mm strap between RN Diver and G10

I much prefer the mechanical side of things so I would go for the Mellor-72 with the hand wound movement. I think it a better value than the re-issue that Hamilton has done with the Pilot Pioneer.

    I love the case style.

This is one of my favorites, too bad it is in need of a service:

Omega 166.065 with cal 565. I have also its bigger brother with the chronometer grade 564 movement.

Always a struggle for me. Prefer all watches without a date but do find it a useful complication.

Yeah, kind of kills it for me, I hate to see the gap using an 18mm Nato, so would have to see how it works with a 20mm one!

18mm would have been fine, in fact probably perfect for the case size and style, but the cynic in me whispers "could 18.5mm be a ploy to buy only their straps?"

They only do 18mm or 20mm straps!

As previously mentioned a number of 20mm straps for the G10 which is 19mm.

I suspect that this one might be absolutely fine with an 18mm

I will play around with different sizes when mine arrives

It would be good to see what size nato works with these, I’d like a to use a 20mm if it works

My cynicism was unfounded then, which is never a bad thing!
I'd have thought a 19 would squeeze in better than a 20 if an 18 is too slim.

I love these, however with an 8+ inch wrist, this watch looks like a boy / womens watch on me. Gutted

I wouldn't rule it out so quickly - cushion cases tend to wear bigger!

Yes, confirmation email came through a short while ago.

Mine would perhaps have been despatched a little quicker had I not asked then to find one of the classic CWC tins to send it in as opposed to the new black cardboard boxes. They emailed me about this earlier today and it sounds as though they don't have many (if any now) left as they had to do a search of the store room.

Another example of great customer service. It would have been just as easy to say they couldn't swap the packaging about.....

I like it. Tough choice between this and the Precista PRS-10.

The Precista has better specs. And...ugh, 18.5 mm? Seriously? But this CWC offering has a more pleasing case, and an interesting story. And I like acrylic crystals. And the CWC has a no-date option. Win.

No, it's not as practical, but I think I like the CWC Lost Boy better than the Precista PRS-10. And this CWC is priced at least "reasonably" if not well. Always a challenge with CWC offerings, IMHO.

Nice thing is, both this CWC and the Precista offering are affordable enough many of us could probably eventually get both.

I'd asked for a specific number but gave three options and got my second choice as the first was designated to a dated version.
Can't fault the customer service as with Eddie's I find it very good indeed.

Seems the 20mm Eulit is a good fit, the thickest weave is my preference (Palma?) in grey.

Wears nicely on the wrist, lug - lug appears to wear as do my other CWC G10's, hitting markers as near as dammit to these old eyes.

    All good here.

Its a lovely thing - the case design and brushed finish are a significant improvement on the G10 in my view

Shown here on an 18mm Eulit Panama

I'm very pleased that it came in one of the now discontinued tins

I tried a 20mm Eult Panama - shown here in the two pics below. Im not happy with the fit - the problem with this is illustrated best in the second pc. Aside from the actual fit I think that the 18mm looks more in proportion. I can live with a little gap at the side!

I only had the 20mm to hand when it arrived, I shall try other perlons over the next few days and hopefully arrive at the best fit. The case design has a better profile all round imo.

    Numbers 1-100 are dated versions, 101-300 non-date.

Swapping over to the 18mm Eulit this morning I agree with you that it is a better option.
It fits better over the fixed bars.

This is a great watch at not a crazy price. I still can't quite fathom why their quartz divers are quite so pricey though. Can someone explain what I am missing!

    Popularity? Provinence?

    Supply and demand?

I agree, the process seem very high. Didn't stop me buying though!
