Thread: The right strap/bracelet (and a question on the caseback)

The right strap/bracelet (and a question on the caseback)

I have a Plasmir Milgraph. I was happy with it, but I did not order the bracelet and...well, I was not convinced about the looks of the watch. So I ordered the watch original bracelet and yes, now it is perfect!

I have a doubt, though. I have the display caseback, but the watch came with an antimagnetic solid one (with an internal softmetal magnetic protector). And the question is: which one would you choose? I made some pics of the solid casebackwatch over the display one, but not changed them... :?

I'd choose the solid back with the soft iron antimagnetic shield. It keeps the antimagnetic integrity better, and once you know what movement is in a watch, I've never been one for looking at it working (purely personal preference, of course). Very nice watch by the way - if you are ever thinking of flipping it, keep me in mind!

Ok, Antimagnetic shield 1-display caseback 0. Any other views? :? :?

That looks ok on the bracelet .. although I've a problem with most homages, except those to out of production models, that does not looks too bad.

But which caseback you all prefer? Display or solid antimagnetic? If I do not get some more answers I will start a poll. And I mean it seriously!

Cmón guys, I never (or almost never) ask for help. But I am really in doubt on what to do with the caseback...I want views/opinions! :?

I had one of these - great watch for the money IMHO :)

Mine had the display back fitted when I got it - looked good.

If you want to use it for diving, go with the solid case back. If you just wear it about on dry land with and occasional splash in a pool, I would go with the display back.

BTW - like the bracelet, a very nice combination.

I have one of these. It came with the display back fitted, which I really like. Although if I had the correct tools I have may have swapped to the solid caseback to see how it looked.

I prefer it on the Connelly leather strap to the bracelet.

Out of interest, where did you source the bracelet? The RXW website is gone and I would like to source a spare leather strap.

Unless you need it's anti-magnetic properties the display back is nice for moments when you're bored, and to show people if you get talking about it. There is also a nice feeling knowing you've NOT gone for the showy option and it's all business though.

    Display.

    Very nice too.
