That would be a real shame. Don’t forget though more than half the show is for gems and precious other trinkets - not just watches. I would guess the show would go on even without watch brands.
I for one hope it continues, rather than peacemeal launch events scattered around the globe haphazardly..

The slowdown of sales in Hong Kong and China may see a long overdue shift of focus to other long overlooked markets. This will maybe see increases in availability of previously harder to get watches from the bigger brands but sadly I can see a minimum of a dozen companies going bust over Corona. Romaine Jerome is only the first of many I fear.

As i have an interest in cars also, I have noticed Youtube over the past few days has been inundated with "first look" videos about all the cars that were going to be shown at Geneve.
It's literally a constant stream of new car videos. Perhaps the watch world will follow suit?
