PSA - Seiko Sumo Green in BHX duty free

Currently advertised at £600 but I bet you could haggle.
Quick search online and I cannot find anything in the UK for that sort of price.

Actually, I can get 20% off that £600 too!

And there’s an Arnie for £350 but could do another 20%
Same for a couple of Samurai, slightly cheaper.

But I have to board right now.
Will be back here every week or so, if anyone wants my help.

Great heads up dude but they have it running at £740 when I clicked your link.
    Wonder what happened there.

    Greg.
That's just a link to show which watch it is, isn't it?
It's £740 with Goldsmiths online but he can get it from the 'duty free' shop in Birmingham airport for £600-20% (so £480?) next time he's passing.
That's a decent saving but the Sumo for me is a watch I buy, like, don't wear and move on. For someone who buys it, likes it and keeps wearing it, it's a good deal.

MCH is correct - I referenced Goldsmiths just to give you the model info.

All good deals, if you were considering one new or nearly new. You could potentially try and flip without loss, but with a new watch.

Anyway, I pass through often - if anyone is interested let me know.
I handled the Sumo, the Arnie and the Samurai. The Arnie was ridiculous and I loved it - tried to buy it but was late for boarding :(
The Samurai was a nice looking watch, face was very good to look at.
Sumo quality was very good. Usual Seiko adjusty-clasp which is a little cheap to the touch, but fit and finish was lovely for what would be a shade under 500 notes. Punched above that price.

    Oh yeah... sorry guys.
I went to the posting before absorbing the thread title.

I saw both the Sumo and Arnie in Heathrow T2 WDF today. Interested in the extra discount, was it just offered or did you haggle? I didn’t think WDF offered any further discounts.

Both nice watches for the money BTW.

A bit convoluted but.... I haggled and got 5% straight away.
Had a bit of rapport with the girl (I like to tell myself) and she said, sort of sneaky-like, if I spend £80 on anything in Duty Free as my first purchase (to which she would give me 5% off!), i then qualify for 20% off any any other subsequent purchases. Forever, as I understood it!
I had seen some nice Oakleys for about £90 so thought I’ll buy ‘em, then get the 20% status for the the watches. She said no probs!

Ran out of time, wanted the Arnie - but told her I’’d be back

Asan owner I can say the green sumo is stunning. £480 is also a good price.

Thanks. I'm going to try my luck next time I find myself in WDF and see what they say.
