    Wifi player?

I'm looking for a small speaker device for my bedroom that is able to play music from a NAS device.

I've looked at a few, but most reviews make big play of their ability to play music from streaming services, which I'm not interested in.

    So, any ideas or recommendations?

Ideally sub £150 and must be a small system, not one with separate speakers.

The issue will be accessing and choosing the music on your NAS drive so that comes down to the app on a phone/tablet to do that. From there, all you need is a bluetooth speaker of which there are many in your budget.

Trying to scroll through albums/tracks on a NAS drive is tricky on many devices including fairly expensive "transporter" type devices, so I'd stick with using your phone as a remote and streaming via the bluetooth on that. Makes it much easy to choose the next album etc.

Take a look at the Ikea version of the Sonos Play 1.

Works on the same ecosystem & will play from a media centre so I presume it'll play from a NAS too.

Sonos Play 1 would be the default suggestion as you can expand them later.

Otherwise have a look at Robert's Streaming Radios - I have one bought in 2008 which plays from Windows Media Library and DLNA NAS box. Later models also have BT and have won What HiFi awards consistently.

Yamaha music cast is also available, however I haven’t used it myself and I believe its experience with NAS sources falls short of Sonos.

I’ve got a few Sonos devices myself and echo the recommendations

    Thanks everyone.

I think the Sonos might be a case of overkill for my requirement, but I found a good deal on a Roberts streaming thingy, so I'm going to give that a try.

    Thanks again.
