Suggestions on a budget up to 300gbp

    Evening all,

    I am after some help!
I currently have two watches, a 116610lv and a 16710 gmt. Happy to rotate both of those daily but I would like a nice beater to go along side them.
I did think about a PRS-25 but I am not sure about the 36mm size, one of the reasons I sold my 114270 explorer.

Anyway, any suggestions? Open to quartz or auto. Open to brands but would prefer it not to be a diver.

    Cheers Gavin.

Dan Henry 1962 chronograph. Great for grab and go and looks great. $260 US.

For the very same reason I plumped for the Alpina GMT quartz...

Very close to your budget would be a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm H70455533...

    Would be a great beater...

Another vote for Hamilton Khaki Field. If you’re open to manual wind, you should be able to find this one near your budget: https://www.hamiltonwatch.com/en-gb/...echanical.html . I have it and really think it would be difficult to find a comparable watch at this price. Excellent quality.

One of the new Seiko 5s? With discounts, within your budget.

Not really a dive watch and so many diverse designs as well, you're bound to find something you like.

I'd go for a Seiko snzg15k1 and pocket the change.

I really like that, never really considered a Dan Henry before. That looks really good value.
Just been on their website the 1963 is very nice too.

the new PRS-25 is 40mm if you like the style and it was just the size putting you off.

Thanks Rob. Had one of those, found it too big!!

Gonna take a punt on the PRS25 at 36 mm.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

If someone asks me this question I always have one answer:

    Seiko skx007.

    Such a classic

At this price point I'd be going quartz. How about a CWC G10? They are 38mm so a touch bigger than your Explorer. You'll have loads of change for natos too!

I also have the 777, but the 779 always gets the nod. I'll have to give the 777 a go on the Jubilee.

Hamilton Khaki King anyday I reckon , a quartz with bracelet will be in budget as they are often discounted as would the auto used.

Dozens of versions to consider https://www.jomashop.com/hafiwase.html

7 inch but I know a direct photo makes it seem much worse.

Here it is in another shot on my wrist, I don’t think it looks too bad.
