Lovely watches, infinitely cooler than some fashion brand Diesel or MK, a lucky boy!

Infinitely cooler to a small subset of old watch nerds, yes. For most kids, maybe a fashion one would be cooler.
(I include myself in the admiring subset) :)

Lol true, very true. It may take him 20 to 30 years to understand what you did for him.

That's a really good point. Millions of years ago my late parents bought me a watch for my 18th - nice gesture, but it was the epitome of everything I didn't like and wouldn't wear at the time, and I would really have liked a chance to choose something I want, not least cos I had less than f'all money of my own at the time!

Reviewers have been complaining about the bracelets being sharp and hair-pullers.

I've read that also. But I have the Q version, averagely hairy wrists and haven't noticed a problem with that at all. Maybe people with very fine wrist hairs have a problem with the bracelet pulling them?

The bracelet absolutely is a hair puller. I can live with it though. I do have hairy arms but not unusually so I think :-)
