    Caroline Flack RIP

Don't care what you think of Love Island, this is a tragedy and nobody deserves to lose their life at 40 years young. RIP.

You can imagine the feeding frenzy the press had after the assault charge having had a profound impact on her mental wellbeing.
    Very sad.

Very sad. The same media who castigated her will no doubt fawn over the tragic loss and bang on about the importance of mental health.

Very very sad the loss of such a young life.
I just hope the press leave her family alone to grieve.

Wow, that's very sad. Wasn't a fan of hers but as has been said no one deserves this. She was only 40. Sad.

So very sad and just highlights the power of the media/ social media. Whilst not a huge fan the loss of such a young life is tragic and those who have badgered her should be ashamed of themselves.

  14. #14
Terrible news. I can’t imagine what she was going through.

    RIP Ms Flack :-(
I did like her, seemed to do well what ever she turned her hand to, good presenter, host, won Strictly.
Clearly had been hounded with press as her relationships always made the headlines, but press and privacy don't go well together.
Far too young to go, and some sort troubled soul...

    RIP

Apparently The Sun has deleted all its derogatory articles they’ve printed about her.

Dying at 40 is sad. Mental health issues need to be addressed.
But a job in the public eye is incompatible with mental health issues.

Employers need to understand that. But employees need to help themselves.

Hundreds commit suicide every year. She was not worth less sympathy than them. She did not deserve more either.

    True this.

Never mind the curse of strictly. This love island has bad connotations . How many suicides or deaths attributed to this show??

RIP Caroline, hopefully you will find peace now. I feel bad reading all the trial by press stuff about you over the last few months.

Just horrendous. Never really liked nor disliked her, but IMO social media has far too much to play in these horrendous deaths.

The way we live now is just chaos and I’m saying that as a 41 year old.

    RIP

This, plus ITV sacking her did not help. They have her blood on their hands. Someone with mental health needs support and not throwing to the gutter. Hopefully they get rid of these shit shows.

Genuinely stunned; never really rated her on Love Island, but was pretty damn good IMHO on Strictly. Can only start to imagine the mental turmoil she was in.

I thought she resigned because she couldn't travel to South Africa while awaiting trial. Either way, she obviously didn't have the support she needed which is incredibly sad.

    Evil media

But also saw this on Facebook which rings a bit true

So a wife-beating psycho has killed himself, good riddance.....oh no, sorry, wrong way round. It was a husband-beating psycho, such a sad loss of a young life.

How absolutely awful. I’m really shocked and saddened.

I have to admit that until the news emerged that she was being accused/charged with battering her boyfriend, I hadn't heard of her.
While any death like this is a tragedy and I don't condone much of what the media does, but I can't honestly say that I'm aware of more negative media about her than there has been about many other celebs and non-celebs.

    We all have bad days.

Some of us will occasionally have thoughts of ending it all.

But the pressure pounded on some people by the press and social media must be utterly unbearable.

What a terrible loss for her family and friends.

The media and trolls should hang their heads in shame.

    Poor poor girl.

As someone else has already said, she seemed to do well with whatever she was involved in. However I always felt it was never enough for her critics and maybe even herself. She looked quite tormented at her recent hearing. Hopefully she’s at peace now, but it’s a terrible shame.

It’s always sad when someone feels their only option is suicide. If you can’t see that then maybe you are dead inside.

Yeah true, suicide is immensely saddening but, is that still the case if it’s all brought on by yourself?

She attacked her sleeping boyfriend with a bedside lamp, first responders said it was like a horror movie, police are called CPS decide to prosecute, she kills herself, very sad, but how is this the media's fault?

Yeah it’s the worst kind, people too afraid to admit it to even themselves, my own father went the same way because he just couldn’t get help.. so yeah, pretty devastating, she may have been a numpty but it’s going to be awful for her family picking up the pieces, scars like that seldom heal

I think so. Sad that she got to that stage. Sad that she had the anger issues she had and sad for her family. Certainly no saint by all accounts but sad nonetheless imho.

    Caroline Flack RIP

None of us have a right to judge her on what she has or hasn’t done, simply because we don’t know the full facts of her life or her relationship with the boyfriend, none of us know her past, maybe things happened that severely affected her mentally.

Either way she has ended up in a place so low that it’s taken her life, so before the nah sayers put her down anymore, just realise it could easily be you one day, couple of wrong decisions, relationship breakdown, a death of someone close to you, you could easily be in the same place as her.
