    Panerai Submersible confusion

I have been looking at a 42mm Panerai submersible and can see that 2 models exist the PAM00682 & PAM00973
but I cannot for the life of me see the difference, would someone be able to enlighten me ?

    Many Thanks

973 has different (and thinner) movement, so the case is also thinner.

Different movement means the PAM000973 is approx 1mm thinner.

Many thanks for the replies, apart from the thickness are there any other technical differences & which one would you go for?

They both are 3 day movements.
682 has an in-house Panerai movement, 973 has another Richemont movement.
I would go for the 682, personally.
There is also a similar model with a black bezel,PAM 00683 similar to 389 which is the one I like the most.

Do you travel a lot (over different time zones)? P. 9010 has a quick set hour hand.
Will the watch be worn in rotation/infrequently? OP XXXIV has a quick set date.

Thank you Rajen for the advice, I'll certainly take a look at the PAM00683

FYI if you like green color, there’s also pam 1055

Personally I’d pick 682 for P9010 than a Richemont movt (which is based on Baume & Mercier 5 days movt)

It is based on a Val Fleurier eubauche which is used by quite a few brands including IWC and Cartier.
Baume Mercier’s ‘in house’ movement Baumatic is also derived from this eubauche.
