I also saw this and was intrigued, until I saw the grooves around the edge of the dial between batons, like an old 7” inch record - file those under ‘what’s not to like’. Pity, as otherwise it looks pretty good.
Edit - that’s grooves, not groves!
Now that my first ever Kickstarter watch, the Hamtun Kraken, has finally bloody arrived I've been looking at Kickstarter again to see what else might be worth backing. Last time I looked it seemed to be full of Daniel Wellington knock-offs (random tag-line "make your minimalistic dreams a reality") but the new KS meta seems to be dive watches. Most of them are generic and dull while many more are truly frickin' hideous design nightmares but amongst the dross I spotted the Von Doren URĘD. 40mm, Swiss auto, domed sapphire. What's not to like. I'm tempted...
Anyway, it's all here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ery&term=watch
Pics for those who can't be bothered to check the link. The watch does look a lot better with the dial coloured Norwegian day/date wheels rather than the white English wheels.
If there are any Norwegians here who can tell me how to pronounce "URĘD" it would be much appreciated.

Looks decent, and well backed.
if you watch the video it gives the pronunciation of the name, along with its meaning (fearless)
Looks nice.
If I had patience for a kickstarter, I would have pitched in for Direnzo
