    Is the P01 that rare?

I’ve just seen a Black Bay P01 advertised at £4K - are they really worth that much, or that rare? Even the GMT never hit that, and it’s still a listed model - unlike the Harrods

Depends how impatient or naive you are. They seem fairly easy to acquire at list from an AD if you're prepared to call around.

The GMT is still on Watchfinder for over list and they really aren't very difficult to find in an AD at all anymore.

P01 is slightly rarer than GMT but appeals to a smaller crowd so that kinda averages it out. Plenty of second hand GMTs on the market but far fewer P01s for the same reason.

I’ve seen it in both Westfields in London so it can’t be that rare.

Are the really worth that much (£1k above RRP)? A pointless question surely. A watch is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it (for the buyer) and whatever it can be sold for (for the seller). If you're asking because you're looking to buy, then get one with a limited wait from an AD for RRP.

As an early adopter I was hoping they would be rare as stated by my supplying AD who actually withheld my warranty card for a year at the point of sale.

Unfortunately, as expected, this is not proving to be the case and the more they sell the more they will make, can't blame them really as I would think the development costs for this piece would be higher than average.

There is one showing in stock at Beaverbrooks Metro Centre.

No, that one is just ridiculously overpriced.

My original post was more around the surprise of seeing one for a grand above list, without any availability concerns on the model. GMTs used to sell for about £3200 because demand was high, but now they’re common the pricing has softened a bit.

Time will tell whether this P01 sells though

I must say this watch is really growing on me, it may be my next watch. Do you have any photos of the Tudor you purchased?

Normally a Tudor fan but looks like they nicked the design from Tutima.

Heres a few, I have been playing around with different straps and bracelets as I bought it as a fun piece that was a bit different than the herd.

For me it wears great on the aftermarket bracelet although it carries a fair heft.
