    No Seiko. No!

Just stop it with the Snowflake variations. IMHO this is hideous.

What a way to cheapen the look of a nice watch.

Looks like a 1970s Artex wall in the kind of italian restaurant that had candles in Chianti bottles on every table...

    Fanghurls will still it.

Looking forward to hearing the 'inspiration' behind this. The look of roadkill on the winter lanes outside the Micro Artists Studio?

I've spoken to their boutique about this one as it's quite special when you dig into its history. I think their rep said:

"This model symbolizes the strength with which we as a brand are squeezing the life blood out of the models in our range..."

    Or something like that.

Used to be every provincial town had at least one - perhaps they smelled the (stale, filter) coffee and went back to the warmth of old Italia...?

Anyway, looks dreadful on a watch, but they make plenty of purty ones to make-up for it I guess...

Looks like it's wearing AlloyGator wheel rim protectors.

Aimed at their domestic market mainly I would think. They are a little left field IMO

It took Seiko years to clock onto the Snowflake and now they're hammering out variants ever month it seems. Unnecessary, the original is still the best.

Why even bother?! I don’t like that red at all and it makes it look cheap.

Funny old place, Japan, I'm guessing there's a niche market for things that remind one of blood-soaked banadages / used tampons...

This was exactly my first thought. Really not a very nice version at all. I really wish they would just leave the Snowflake alone, but I guess constant mucking about with a classic isn't exclusive to Seiko: Omega, I'm looking at you here...

Such a shame, the original is a lovely watch.

I think the biggest design faux pas is that GS is in gilt, not silver. That aside, I'd happily wear it. Big fan of the snowflake dial.

I like it a lot. I tend to find GS nothing short of dull. Better without a stupid PR though.

The one I'm waiting for is a 9F62 quartz model in 36 or 37mm with the Snowflake dial .... and preferably no red accents or gilt to be seen :)

I’d wear it but have to admit it would much better with all the red bits swapped out for blue

I bet it looks nice in person, I'd give it a chance and see how it looks in the metal.

The gold GS logo is a little jarring but I rather like the rest of it.
Always loved the idea of a snowflake but don’t get on with titanium watches. So I’ve admired them from afar.

Agreed. I much prefer it to the original snow flake model, but as usual the power reserve ruins an otherwise nice watch for me.
It's just a matter of time...
