    CWC quartz 3 dial watch numbers question please ?

    Please can somebody help with deciphering the following which appears on the case back of a friends CWC 3 Dial quartz watch ?

    1st line of digits = Broad arrow pointing left then , C216/05
    2nd line of digits = 6645-99
    3rd line of digits = 814-9181
    This is the date model CWC with the encircled T (tritium) under the makers mark.
    From research on here I believe the second row indicate the military part number and year , however I cannot seem to find what the first and last lines mean.
    Thank you in anticipation.

    Basically the second and third line is a NATO stock number, but I cannot tell you what each part of the number represents. I used to work in the MoD and we had manuals like telephone directories that you could check. It's probably the Watch details, the 99 is probably the UK then which military arm it was issued to.

    An expert will be along soon.

    Wallasey Runner is correct
    C216/05 = C (civilian) 216th watch made in 2005
    6645 = watch/ timepiece
    99 = UK
    The rest is a number is specific to the CWC Chronograph (I presume you mean Quartz Chronograph as I don’t have access to the specific NSN number currently)
    Broadarrow (the arrow) means it has been accepted for service by the MOD.
    It should be stated that all of the above do not mean it has been used by the military, only that it has been accepted to a standard that means it can be used if a contract were to be placed.

    "C" is for civilian - RN models would be marked 0552 or, post 1995, 0555. Army versions are marked W10, RAF ones 6B or 6BB.

    C is for Cabot.

    In other words, retained or stocked by CWC for general sale rather than supplied to the MoD. CWC used to explain this on their website as part of a fake-spotting guide.

    It adds up to the same thing though, because the C watches are civilian.

    I was under the impression that 0555 was Royal Marine's.

    Historically it does however CWC mark all their 'SBS' divers regardless of which branch of the services they go to with the old RM 0555 marking now.
    standard divers do not have 0555, 0552 or W10 on them anymore.
    'G10s' are still marked W10 and anything intended for the RAF is still marked 6BB (NOS mechanical chronographs being marked 6B) I am not sure if the quartz chrono has 6b on it.
