Joking aside, that's a wonderful result. Thanks for organising, Matthew and congratulations to all the winners.
I know, I'm going to buy some tickets next time! At least they didn't win their own prizes!

What was the total raised in the end?
There's been a kind addition after the draw, it's a fantastic result all round.

I'd like to give a massive shout out to the selfless anonymous donors who have contributed to the fabulous result, the latest of whom has just taken the total to a grand.

    Well done to everybody involved

Great causes - I didn’t win anything (sob) but all funds to a great cause that tbh wouldn’t have received from me without the highlight

Sometimes we need a nudge, and the wonder that is Mr Curta does it very very well

After a convoluted process on SC that I scarcely managed to follow, one which en route raised lots more money for these charities, I managed to secure the Rodina auto to be sent to a friend of mine from my days on WUS f71 and IWL. He has a big love for Russian and Chinese watches, and a big collection of them. He knew that something was in the post for him, but had no idea what! Fortunately, he did know that in such circumstances a wristshot is essential, and so the email I just received included this:

Here it alongside a blue dialed WUS Chinese subforum watch, a Beijing Zungu, a proper VCM and three Soviet watches (a Sekonda de Luxe, a Luch de Luxe, and a Wostok 2209)

That is a most satisfying postscript to the thread, many thanks indeed to all involved. A further £175 was raised through Lampoc's initiative, the final total is quite outstanding.

    Thanks, Les!

There has actually been a more recent one, which raised an absolutely incredible total. https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...mp-Young-Minds

I'm certain that there will me more, I'll let you know as and when.
