I'll go first: Barclay James Harvest?
My weekly photograph challenge
Just some random 1970’s people or somebody famous?

I'll go first: Barclay James Harvest?
It's a collection of people rather than one group...... second from left is definitely Eric Idle. He was married to Lyn Ashley about then so she could be one of the women.
He was also big mates with George Harrison ....could that be him far right? If so then one of the ladies is probably his wife Pattie.

Doesn't look like Eric Idle to me - and judging from the clothing that photo was probably taken between 1969 - 1972, a time in which there is abundant photography of the Python in question, none of it resembling the hirsute and behatted gentleman present here.
I wondered if that chap was Gordon Haskell, and perhaps the band was Stackridge. But no, a bit of research suggests that it isn't.
Was trying to think who the leftmost chap reminds me of - Colin Blunstone. But I don't think it is Colin Blunstone. It might not be a band at all, of course.
I would say that second left with the hat IS George Harrison ?
Second from right (mexican moustache) - John Bonham?
Second from left (panama hat) - Mick Fleetwood?
Yep - I suggest that these support my point. They don't like like the guy in the hat (the 1976 beard is probably fake by the way, that pic was taken during the filming of All You Need Is Cash in which he portrayed The Rutles' Dirk McQuickly at several phases of the Prefab Four's career. Ron Wood has a cameo, as do Michael Palin and George Harrison.
I would have said George Harrison second from left.

Here’s another image of the guy second from left.

On my phone now but Google image might help.

Early pic of the Doobie Bros and they did have a Black bassist?
Little Feat?
Chap with the glass to his mouth looks a bit like Peter Green.
I'll play- Mungo Jerry ?
B
Bill Wyman, Eric Idle, DLT or Mungo Jerry, Terry Jones..............err........or maybe not?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Guy with the tache could be Capt. Beefheart?
That bloke on the left looks very familiar - don't know who it is though.
Cheers,
Neil.
I think the guy with the black hair third from left is Tony Defries, perhaps best-known for managing David Bowie. It may be Dana Gillespie standing behind him. The guy in the white hat may be songwriter Tony Macaulay. The photo may have something to do with Gem Music Group.
On the other hand, I could be completely wrong! I usually am...
Edit: Johnny Johnson (of 'and the Bandwagon' fame) in the trilby?

Henry Fonda and Brian Rix?
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
First one is 100% Henri Fonda.

Looking again I think the first photo could be Fleetwood Mac with a couple of others.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
The last one is classial guitarist John Williams
I think that is John Mayall on the right.
Maybe a Bluesbreakers line up pre Fleetwood Mac
I think you’re all spot on with the last three - thanks all.
What about the guy up the ladder, here?
And this attractive young lady?

It looks like the Staff Room during lunch break at my old school
The guy up the ladder was a news reader - Gordon Honeycomb?
The bloke with the drink (in the first pic) looks like Peter Green to me.
And the later one, with the young lady, is certainly John Williams.

I’ll take a flyer on the first photo; lady at centre back... Patricia Hodge.
Gordon Honeycombe up the ladder (newsreader).

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Now I'm thinking
MacVie, Fleetwood, Green on the left with Christine Perfect standing behind, and Mayall with Larry Taylor(2nd Right)
Peter Green, John and Rod Mayall.....
None of are tall enough to be Mick Fleetwood.
Here are some closer shots of some of the faces being discussed.

Upon reflection, the guy 2nd from left may be Keef Hartley.

The decade is most probably 1960s
