SOTC - 12 years on TZ

    Hi,

Have been fortunate to buy a couple of watches over the past few weeks after a tough 15 months at work has finally paid off. It got my obsession back into overdrive. Having never owned more that 4 watches at any point in time I thought I’d share my journey and massive change in taste. Would never have bought a watch not on a bracelet....the Seamaster Chrono in Pic 2 was on a bracelet most of the time. Now a strap fan.

    This is today’s SOTC:

    SOTC when I joined TZ:

And (some) of those in between:

    V. Nice, liking your current collection.

I’ve found have a way of bringing things together nicely & no exemption here.

It is funny how our tastes and preferences change over time. Nice foursome and pretty diverse collection - I think a non black dial would be a great addition!

    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

You've gone back to black, and not a Rolex in sight - interesting that you've lost the colours. That said, I do like the Pam's second hand and the orange barrel of the Bremont. I do love that Speedmaster Mark II.

A classic quartet. Nice mix of brands.

I too have gone from all bracelet (plus G-Shock) to all strap.

Will be doing an SOTC soon to. Have taken pics but need time to do post.

You're in a great place with lovely watches.

I've had an Exp 2 42mm white dial three times......was pipped to the post for one on TZ other wise it would have been there instead of the PAM.

Been looking too many watches for too long...

Is that an IWC Top Gun chrono ? If so, can I ask if the case has kept its condition, no marks or bruising, etc.

They are in stock at the airport and Im tempted.

No idea....it arrived yesterday. It is supposed to be quite hardy re: minor knocks. If you drop it I think you’ll be lucky for it not to get damaged.

It wears big but is light.....hard to describe but it’s ‘warm’ even when it’s not been worn.

Nice journey through a collection. I'm sure we would all have taken different turns but you have a nice collection for sure. To be honest couldn't see any watch in there I wouldn't have (or haven't) owned myself.

Nice one all round I think.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
