    Strap option for PRS29a

Hello - has anyone tried one of these straps on an old PRS29a? I’m interested but a bit more expensive than I would usually pay.

Is really appreciate any information or a photo if you have.

    Kind regards -

    Joe

Have you considered Perlon? I wear my 29A on this one from Eulit, as I much prefer it to nato straps.

Y'all know that I'm a mahoosive fan of the Perl but in this case I think it's not the best option...

It's a vintage VB Hygienique, and sadly they are like hen's teeth.

There are now reissues of the AF2010 straps being made... not the same thing, but perhaps not a bad choice?

Just don't like perlon, leather seems more traditional and appropriate.

There are a few threads on MWR discussing the A.F.0210 and various reissues.

Hello - thanks for all the replies. I do have a couple of Perlon straps from Eulit and like them very much. I like NATO straps but tend to cut them into an RAF style as (for me) all the extra strap is unnecessary.

I’m still always looking for the perfect strap though......

I did consider one of these:

    Or maybe one of these:

    https://erikasoriginals.com/

The latter seems very expensive though!

How about a time factors braided strap. Bit chunkier than a perlon but similar.

*Vintage* perlon: the weave is tighter
Also in reversible stripes - 2 straps for the price of one. See timesofplenty on ebay
(Pics when I’ve worked out how to make them small enough)

Have you considered one of these?

Beautiful chestnut brown color and very comfortable.

My two favourite straps for mine are:

A horween leather Nato from Steveostraps and

A cheapo maroon Nato from cheapestnatostraps

The strap from the Smiths DeLuxe Service Sheet might be the answer.

A unique weave, pre Perlon and pre NATO.

An ideal match, something old and something new.

I know it is a bit late, but here is my AM on the AF 0210, when both were brand new. My wife wore this combo all last summer when we went away, she was rather taken with it.

Agreed, this is a great strap but takes a while to 'break in'. I have one on my Omega WWW.
