    Kung Flu

    Cononavirus in particular.
Interesting in the way this is being managed.

I'm predicting ten thousand Chinamen by the end of the month, and a hundred thousand by the end of February.
It's way worse than their government is reporting.
You don't quarantine forty million people because of forty deaths.

Mate this is the country where they happily bulldoze your house if its in the way of something they want to build and they give you compensation total of £0.00

They do what they want out there, they don't care how many get quarantined. Who are they going to complain to. They will keep their mouth shut and do what they are told.

I was listening to an interview this morning on LBC. It was with an Irish chap living in China, apparently, this virus started before Christmas but nothing was done until a couple of weeks ago.
Where he is living, there is a curfew, and the use of private cars will be banned as of midnight tonight.
Also, with a ban on movement how will the staff get to and from work = no food or other supplies.

What was the name of the Charlton Heston film?

Eating bats in restaurants is pin-pointed as the source of the virus. Complete with peer-review: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/...1002/jmv.25685

However... there are questions about the speed of the discovery of the source. Within days, bats were mentioned as the source, complete with videos of people eating those in restaurant.

A Dutch investigating journalist pointed out that Wuhan has a Level-4 Biohazard laboratorium https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biosafety_level with an 'iffy' reputation https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...ks-center.html And that the Chinese have a bad reputation of controlling these labs and environments: https://www.who.int/ith/diseases/sars/en/

So, perhaps it is a bat. But there's reason to believe that it has a different cause.

EDIT: 1 -> 3.8. One patient causes 3.8 and up to 4 new cases of Corona. That's the highest rate ever. Check this man's twitter: https://twitter.com/DrEricDing/statu...99410877898754

The Daily Fail? Let us discount that as a theory if that is the level of support.

If it's a slow melingering death then that's fine with me. So long as it lasts long enough to cover a commercial break on Sky TV.

There is at least one person on this forum whose family has been affected by this fellas... a little sensitivity maybe?
