Hahaha
All very odd as he has had a great relationship with an AD for years. They’ve got him various Pateks (5711 etc), daytonas and that’s just in the last couple of years. He puts them all on Twitter. Must be some publicity stunt.
From my recollection he got rich by selling cheap car aerials, injection moulded plastic hifi advertised on the back of porn mags, pretty crappy computers (PC1512) and pretty dismal management of a football team. I can see why Rolex would want to disassociate themselves from him. Not a good ambassador in my view.

Or maybe this is all a PR stunt, look how much mileage the story itself has in the exclusive and inaccessible appearance of Rolex.
I'm not into Twitter but reading the responses its like the Bear Pit went full on lefty, why does everybody have to say give your money to a charity and ridicule him over wanting something he's earned?
Some serious Rolex hate going on too, like your the Omen for wanting or wearing one..
I will say, a friend of mine was filming a big Jewish wedding where LS was a guest, my mate turned his camera in his direction and he said to him "get that f***ing camera out of my face" and got quite aggressive, he don't sound the nicest of people..

Surely if you were as wealthy as he is you would pay a premium of a few thousand and get the watch straight away from a grey dealer .What possible difference would a few thousand make to him ,it would be the equivalent of the average person waiting years for a Daytona rather than getting the watch in a few days by paying a premium of a pound

I’m guessing he continues to know the value of a pound. Whether he can afford it, or is simply tight, I like to think of him remembering his roots & a few £k to get it instantly is frivolous.

Been worrying myself sick over this issue for more than 24hrs now............ not
I am not replying to score points but I bought an Amstrad radio alarm clock when I moved to Leamington Spa, therefore back in 1976. I bought it because it came on at a low sound which got louder over a minute or so which was quite innovative back then.
I still use it today, thereby demonstrating that both Mr Sugar and I know value when we see it and also using something for 45 years and not sending it to landfill makes us very ecological indeed.
The simple truth, which you will not like, is that from Rolex's point of view, Mr Sugar is a much better customer than you and I combined because he is constantly in the public eye (recently seen looking over a yacht in Monaco) whilst no one knows that we even exist.
You may not like the guy but Rolex certainly like him and that's all that matters.

Some of the replies to his post are hilarious. I was surprised at how vitriolic most are, that's Twitter for you I suppose.
He prob wants to flip for a profit.
