    The Virtual Watch Modification Thread

Having played around with Photoshop many years ago, I recently discovered a similar (but free) programme called GIMP, aka GNU Image Manipulation Programme.

It's a quicker, cheaper and requires less skill than proper modification, so here goes with the first effort. Barnacle, broken chapter ring and extraneous dial chat all addressed.

Here are a couple of further iterations. Crown recessed and date window beefed up to balance the loss of HEV.

I may have taken it too far with the ploprof hands!

Looks like an interesting programme. Have to see if it will run on a Mac.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I like your work but I prefer the original stealthy date window.

Ok last two because I'm conscious I'm probably just entertaining myself here!

And finally the baby ploprof, an absolute cracker. If this existed I would absolutely be all over it.

Changed the hands and beefed-up the date box.

Clearly someone with more time on their hands than I have, however I like them. More please.

The first thing I would be doing with that watch would be getting rid of the red tip on the seconds hand

Spot the difference. And is it an improvement or not?

No HEV. IMHO the HEV adds to the look although it is pointless to have something you have to unscrew instead of an automatic one

    + chapter ring,
    - chemical formula
    - superfluous co-axial chat

I've got a bit of a love/hate thing going on with the Seamaster. I am repeatedly drawn to it, despite disliking a long list of its design features.

I also dislike the skeleton hands and fat bezel numbers!
