    Iphone - iMessages help needed.

I got myself an iPhone pro max yesterday and set up via my iCloud and all is well.

However Iím having issues with texts/iMessages.

My brother told me that texts will go yo my phone and also as iMessage on my iPad. Whenever he texts me it appears on my iPad as an imassage but it doesnít appear on my phone.

Im guessing its a settings issue somewhere but its beating me at the moment

    Any help gratefully received.
    Cheers,

    Ben

Ben go to settings scroll down to messages stroke right then slide the bar across on iPhone messages.

Turn I message off and on. You might have iMessage set up with your phone number and not your apple id. Better to do it via apple ID

Why is it better to use Apple ID?

Because then it will go to your iPad/laptop etc.

You can choose under which email/number you appear as when you send and receive but it's a million times easier if it's done under your apple id.
