SOTC - 10 years after it all started

It’s now been 13 years since fell into watches as a hobby and 10 years since I opened my collection with an important watch acquisition.

Over those 10 years, there has been a huge amount of change – one can say that I’ve sampled the below £15k market well.

I started with a Rolex 14060 2 liner which I bought for £2300 and progressed to 5513s, 1665s and 16250s. I then switched to vintage pilots watches going for the Lemanias mono-pushers, then onto Omega watches and then back to Rolex. Also owned a couple dress pieces including JLCs and UGs. A nice journey.

Over the last year, the whole collection except for the 16520 has been overhauled. I’ve parted with some good ones sadly – but that’s how it goes.

Anyways, here’s what I got now – enjoy!

What a lovely collection! That Daytona is pure class. Also love the explorer. That is definitely one I need to try. What out of that lot gets the most wrist time? For me it would be the Sub with Daytona at evening and weekends!

The gmtiic gets the most wristtime by far. I’m not afraid to bring it on any trip be it sporty, wet or cold.

    Then the Pam.

Poor little Daytona gets the least though I must admit I’m a little scared about brining it out...

A great watch to have for high days and holidays. Enjoy wearing it when you know no harm will come to it.
