Not a make I’d ever heard of!

My sister has been clearing out my Mum's house (as she has gone into a care home) and she came across this old camera that she gave me.
Must have been an old one of my Dad's that he had when I was small as he usually used modern Nikon and Olympus stuff in recent years.
Looking at the instruction book it is an American camera called an Argus C4 35mm with lots of satisfying mechanical parts. I've had a look over it and it still looks like it would work although it must be pretty old. Nice Made in USA cow hide case too!
These old cameras always feel so substantial. I daresay it would have been fairly pricey when new.
A lovely keepsake.
Anyone know about these?
Cheers,
Neil.

Thanks for that David. Found some good info via that link.
The C4 is an American made camera that was built between 1951 - 58.
According to the serial number on mine it dates to 1953.
