    CODE41 X41

What do you think of the CODE41 X41? There are quite a few interesting features, like the peripheral rotor and the date function.

    CODE41 X41

I like some of the design features namely as you mentioned the Rotor not covering the movement and clear date discs.

The price is outstanding for what they are IMHO.

Not 100% sure though re design. Reminds me of a Hublot hommage more than an independent design effort?

    oooh I like that.
More watches need peripheral rotors, makes the view rear view a lot more appeal.

I cannot tell what the base movement is. All I can see is in-house and swiss made etc. I cannot believe this is a new movement?

It is a ETA 2824-2 if you want to pay for swiss or miyota if you do not.

Thanks, makes sense now looking more closely. Obviously re-engineered for the peripheral rotor.

    From the website

    Anomoly 01 - Miyota
    Anomoly 02 - ETA

X41 - Calibre made by Timeless (not immediately obvivous due to how they've worded it), https://www.timeless-sa.ch/en/products
who make some pretty funky stuff.

    *edit
some interesting photos of the movment on Timeless's instagram feed

Looked at these a few times, I like very much what they are doing, they've given a LOT of thought to pretty much everything, right down to details like this:

"SERVICING GUARANTEED EVEN IF WE CEASE TO EXIST"

Not too many micros combine professionalism with honesty - right down to sourcing. Pricing seems very fair, too. Would very much like to see one in the metal.

X41 looks amazing but any future batches will be over £5k so I'd need to think long and hard as for a couple k more you get into the higher end Ming stuff with amazing movements

How would this work if they shut up shop and moved away? How would you find them?

We also need to think about how well a watch like the X41 will age - something I consider very important. I'm not too confident with their design ageing well compared to the 19.01.

You might just be asking the wrong person...

It's not for me but I appreciate the forward-looking design. Much better-looking than most skeletonized watches IMO.

I like the rotor idea, but not the skeleton dial. I think they just look messy.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I'm not a fan of skeleton's but appreciate them as a dial option. I was hoping to see a regular dial amongst the selection.
