Having to watch that with the sound off. What am I missing? How is that better? Why did that take seven-and-a-half minutes?

The world's a confusing old place...

I only have one Nato strap and I only use it on my Planet Ocean and usually in this manner. The main benefit is the reduction in height having only one layer sitting between wrist and caseback.

When i used to wear nato’s regularily a few years ago on my sea-dweller, i used to use that method to get the watch to sit lower on the wrist as there’s only one loop pushing it off the wrist.

But it is a ballache to take on and off, (not a bad thing for security)

Why not just cut off the bottom strap.

That's why I'm thinking it'll be good for my mm300 w the steveo strap which is chunky.

Superb idea of you're wearing a NATO strap, and I'll certainly be trying that in future! That said, why not just buy a three-ring Zulu and avoid the flappy bit altogether? i've been doing that for years.

This works a treat, takes away the bulk between watch and wrist, without doing major surgery on your nato.

I do this quite a bit if a nato fits slightly too loose/tight. Makes a big difference
