I think there's about 15 hours to go, and they're already at 900+% of their funding goal.
Anyone seen the ads for this "crowdfunding" project?

I've been seeing them for a couple weeks. Pledges close in less than 24 hours I think.
I just entered my pledge for this Skindiver WT Auto model at 279 Euros:
I'm checking to see if I can get on the wait list for the beads of rice bracelet with solid end links.

Already being discussed here:

Nice design but could they have found a smaller quartz movement?
I am looking at bezel and wonder what kind of mental arythmetics I should perform to figure out time in Tokyo for example.
I've been sitting on the fence for a week but decided to jump, so just bagged the last Super Early Bird mecaquartz for about £110
Best of both worlds – guaranteed accuracy and no date. I know the original had a date but I don't like that Miyota movement and I'll never look at the caseback.
A nice grab and go holiday watch, just in time for summer
I'm trying to order mine with this bracelet:
Looks much better with the bracelet than the strap. Some watches just can't seem to carry a strap or bracelet well.

How are people finding these? Well built, good lume? I’m thinking of getting one as a holiday watch, budget will probably only stretch to a mecaquartz at the moment unfortunately.
I really enjoy mine and it seems sturdy enough. I put it on an old 60s 'Tropic', which just feels right.
I'll be taking it away next week to give it a proper test. The lume is pretty good. Not Seiko or Omega bright, but definitely better than some more expensive watches I own.
Not sure how much they are now but if it's less than £200 you can't go wrong IMO

Thanks. Works really well on the tropic!
Mine arrived last week - - with the solid beads of rice bracelet. It's definitely a "keeper!"
Looks great. Will probably go for that version in mecaquartz
How is the bracelet by the way?
Thinking I should have ordered one too
Looking forward to mine arriving too, hopefully not too much longer to wait
That is rather nice and rather tempting.
This is a nice looking watch. I would be interested to know how bright the vintage lume is in the dark compared to the normal lume. I have a Dan Henry with vintage lume. It looks nice in the light but is poor at night.
Just read this thread and I am really impressed by the quality and the look of this watch very nice!
I broke and ordered a steel bezel, faded lume mecaquartz for 180 quid. Will be an interesting holiday and beater watch.
Anyone fancying an original, there's a nice Wolbrook-branded example of Armstrong's Skindiver WT (his was Douglas-branded - same company/watch) languishing unbid on ebay at ~£225 right now with 2H to go.
These are the ones originally sold in plastic tubes full of water to demonstrate their waterproofness - worth noting when getting twitchy about getting your modern diver damp... They are tiny (34mm iirc).
Dunno how much love there is for this, so posting here rather than start yet another thread.
I emailed them a week ago about buying a watch....no reply.
You can order their watches on the internet here:
https://wolbrook.com/
Douglas watches are sold here:
https://wolbrook.com/pages/douglas-watches
You may need to navigate a bit to find the Douglas watches you want.
That's unfortunate. I'm extremely happy with my Wolford automatic...it's been my daily wearer.

Credit where it's due, I received an email reply today. Very friendly, informative and apologetic. However the configuration I'd like isn't possible. It's a good job I bought Ryan's auto version yesterday then.
Mine arrived from Ryan this morning and I must say I'm very impressed so far. Case size, shape and finishing is excellent and the BOR bracelet fits perfectly. The bracelet is a doddle to size and very comfortable. The bezel action is satisfying with a resounding click. Surprisingly I like the push/pull crown too, no crown threads to rub away over time.
The packaging is comprehensive and well thought through, especially the replica of the original sales paper. I must admit it's quite cool to have your surname on the dial, not many folk around can say that I suppose.
All-in-all a very good start.

I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
For reference, my automatic model hasn't lost or gained a second in 72 hours. I've worn it through the day and left it crown up over night.
