Seiko seem to have always come up with brilliant dial designs.

Whoa! Makes me wonder if the vintage Seikos I happened upon in Thailand last week are worth anything?

I would say the seller is crazy but what would be the true value of this watch?
Difficult to say, but I struggle to see where £55k comes from. Certainly it's a rare watch and in NOS condition, but it is still a steel watch. There are certain watches can be worth money if they are connected to current models, like for example a 1961 Alpinist (Laurel) would be worth something to collectors, but I don't see that with this model, although I might be wrong.
I'd stick my neck out and say a few grand tops, if that.
No Date. So I'm out. Quite like the dial but the lettering spoils it.

Are the savants certain this is even a genuine Seiko? The too-fresh look and inevitable "17 Jewels" reeks of Made-in-India fakery to me...
Check out his other items. How very eclectic! Vintage Seikos and phone accessories.
