Was watching an auction for one on eBay the other week, that went for £10,400! This one looks less together though but I’d imagine it’s got to be around £9k?
As inferred by others, probably about the £8.5/9k in a private sale.
Sold my own 1680 last year with box and service history, went private after having offers of £5k from WF and Watch club. Certainly private sale is the way to go.
I didn’t realise these were available at this kind of price - why would you grovel your way onto an AD waiting list for a modern version when you could have one of these instead?! GLWTS

A lovely one was listed on this forum a few weeks ago at £9800 and that sold pretty sharpish.
That had service papers and the original purchase receipt (but no original papers) so worth a bit of a premium on no box and papers.
Somewhere between £8000 and £9000 sounds about right depending on the rest of the watch.
Dial looks lovely but hard to tell much else based on the picture posted. If the case is good and it has the correct bracelet, end links, Crystal etc then should be towards the top estimate.

Am I the only one who thinks the date wheel has come from a comedy watch, what other surprises does it hold.
Also appears to be missing any end links
Just looks all wrong even with a bit of crystal defraction, as far as I am aware it should be a top hat but never bothered with a white so cant be certain. Yep that red is a beauty, keep wearing it in good health Jim.
It should be a top hat. Its possible that it IS a top hat that has seen a lot of scars and polywatch which has distorted the date, BUT, without clearer photos its hard to say, the angle is dreadful.
The dial and hands look good and the case looks meaty.
Its definitely a project and id factor that in to costings, id agree 8-9k depending on what closer inspection throws up.
Im tight AF so id go in at low to mid 8's and grudgingly work upwards.
Not sure about the bracelet either. Those two spare links don't look right and as commented there appears to be no end links at all. I suspect that's just a generic bracelet, in which case worthless and it would cost the best part of a grand for a correct replacement from Rolex.
