Driving along today minding my own business, when around the corner ahead of me came a beautiful Scimitar GTE in dark blue with a black vinyl roof, a car I'd coveted as a young lad, for a couple of minutes I was a kid all over again.
What has stopped you in your tracks, not necessarily cars,,

I came across a stunning Honda Civic Type R FK2 parked in Stevenage High St a few months back. The paintwork was immaculate - better than showroom new. I love FK2s and this one must have undergone some serious detailing to look like that. I just had to stand and wonder at the perfect, liquid-like finish!

Lots of things stop me but today I was at a air rifle range, in the big bore section next door a couple of guys started shooting a .303 Lee Enfield.
Wow, what a noise and seeing how their shoulders and back were being kicked with the recoil was amazing, I stopped and just watched..

I saw a Kubelwagen yesterday in central London
That’s not something you see every day. A few months ago a guy was riding an Indian Motorcycle in its all original US army paint scheme along the same high st. It was an 80 year old bike in its original paint. For me that is much more interesting than the super cars you see on Kensington High St.

I attended the funeral of my uncle today. The final song that was played as the curtains closed was the theme tune from Heartbeat
As if that wasn't enough, one of the guests was a sitting MP and ex-Cabinet Minister.

When i had my Audi RS2 back in about 2002? Only 180 of them in RHD world wide (more left hookers in Europe )
Id only had it about 2 weeks and done a double take when one passed me in a high st in Kent

Many years ago whilst playing wing forward at a rugby game, my side had the ball and was passing it along the line. I was running pretty flat out, concentrating hard on the ball, the ball was just on the verge of getting passed to me when I went face first into one of the posts...

Aged 21 (1998) and first day in ‘proper’ work at Sainsbury’s head office commuting from the Midlands to London.
Absolutely petrified, but after waking from Marylebone to Baker St. I was stopped in my tracks by a white Countach with rear tyres the size of steam rollers. Never seen one since in the wild.

I seem to have a penchant for finding the bizarre in life but the aero-plop story in #18 reminded me of yesterday in a GAME shop where some fat blob of a so-called father was so engrossed with his negotiations selling some crap to the shop that he totally ignored his tiny son running around the place holding his bottom and crying he needed a poo. This went on for about 10 minutes, he never even looked at his boy even when the little chap ran out into the street.
Thanks Chris. It was actually a very enriching day. He had been poorly for over 4 years with no prospect of getting any better. Plus he had lived a good and rich live, had built a very successful business which his wife and daughters now owned, served the public (as a councillor and Lord Mayor) plus did tons for charity.
A well loved and respected member of the family and community, and you cannot get much better than that. Plus it was a great opportunity for a family knees up.

Well done Ooky, when we lived in Henley I often walked to the bottom of the street to feed the Swans, I found that placing the food on the flat of the hand - like feeding a horse worked better for me.

Driving into the local pub car park and there was a stunning old Alfa just sitting there. Having a look at it as you do and then noticed an F40 on the other side of the car park. Just parked between other cars.
I was the last one to reach the bar and it is when I realised my friends don’t have the same love of cars......
