It’s certainly a tragedy what is happening to the wildlife in these fires.
So my wife sent me an older news article about the fires in Australia and the extinction of Koala's

I know there are a few Australian members here so hopefully you don't lose the Koala. When I think Australia I think Koala and then Kangaroo it would be a huge loss to say the least. I do collect the Australian Koala proof coins because it's always been my most prominent image of your country. I hope you guys get rain coming soon I would hate to see the end of what I consider a symbol of your country.
All the best

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Heard on the us news that up to half a billion animals, various, have died. You have to wonder if fires on this scale, or worse, are Aussies new normal what are the economic and wider impacts upon sustained human habitation going forwards... I understand the smoke and ash are impacting New Zealand’s glaciers, incredible.
Australia emits 3x more Co2 per capita than the U.K.
known for being a decade or 2 behind everyone else maybe this will kick start a change in attitudes towards climate change?
Not the PM though as his head is firmly in the sand.
