Thread: Pairs or Trio's - What have you got ?? (Pic Heavy)

  1. #51
I've a pair of pepsi bezel 7a28's that are firm favourites:

Could this pair of Speedmasters be deemed a duo?...

Glad that I am not the only one to have thought collecting pairs was a good idea. I only have the one so far but I have one more planned and a couple I might think of chasing.

In a fit of WIS logic I bought he white dial for spares for the black dial which is not working. The white dial was in such good condition I couldn't break it up. As to concerns about variety? Well they are different colours. There is a third variant with a blue dial but haven't come across one, plus I don't like the hand set so much. But if I see one come come up.......

    Slightly off topic

But this collection started with just the one Junghans stopwatch.
But that was about 40 years ago.
Must have about 50 now. Never even look at them.
Whenever I think about selling them, I seem to just buy more.

    Your collection wins hands down.

Lovely photo, looks like a collection of smiling faces, two from The Clockwork Orange.

A pair of golden Seiko Tunas, the first a 7549-7009 from 1981 on the left.

Seiko then reissued the original classic in 2018 with a limited run of 1978 (pictured on the right) which was the year they introduced the model which was the worlds first quartz saturation diving watch.

Lovely. Those are my next planned pair (just need the AM) but I have been distracted by another pair.

    A pair of T660s.
I bought the one in the foreground, because I lost my faithful original.
I bought the one in the background, because I lost the one in the foreground. After an absence of two years, I finally found it last week sitting on a joist in the attic.

Sorry, I don't have pictures, but I was particularly prone to this when I first started buying watches. I bought two Tissots (a Visodate and a quartz chrono) and two Oris (Orises?) (an Aquis and a Diver Sixty-five). I remember being inspired by the usual watch channels to purchase a load of Seikos (but held back and only got an SKX) and got quite into the idea of Christopher Wards (but resisted altogether).

(I know these aren't the same models, but I liked the idea of having pairs of the same brand.)
