Oris Big Crown ProPilot has been updated

Just seen that the Oris Big Crown ProPilot has had an update.

The new version has raised numbers and better lume.

The centre links on the new bracelet are now polished and the clasp has been updated and now has seat belt style opening.

This is my 'older' version which I think I still prefer as it's all brushed but I may be biased!

    New version

Day/Date version showing the raised numbers.

Seat belt style clasp, not too keen of the word 'Lift' being there.

I’ve always liked that watch, really want it to be less than 40mm.

That's my issue. Lovely watch, improvements make it even better, but just too big for me.

Need this one in 36mm... unfortunately only ROLEX can offer a model with a wide range of different sizes 26mm, 31mm, 34mm, 36mm, and 39mm...(OP)

Absolutely love the improvements to dial and clasp, but also prefer the older all-brushed bracelet. Usually not a fan of bracelets, but the one on my Aquis is a great to wear. Then again, this watch I'd probably wear on leather anyway...

A pilot watch should have printed indices and a brushed or matte finish IMO.

    Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Really nice looking watch, but just too big! I'd love to see it at 40mm or less.

Agree with the size comments, would be interested if they were a little smaller

PSA - Beaverbrooks have the old version in the sale at £860, black dial with bracelet. That’s £300 off list. PayPal are offering 4 months interest free credit too.

Whilst I like the raised numerals I still think I prefer the older version with the brushed bracelet which I have. The clasp is nice but ‘Lift’ is unnecessary, does anyone really need that level of instruction on a clasp.

Great price for a watch I’ve loved since it was released. I looked at it again yesterday as I was passing and it’s fabulous.

I said to my wife that if I could buy any watch at the moment it would be that one.

    Great deal for someone.

Me too, I prefer the older version. Don’t even like the raised numerals, to me they seem a little distracting.

I don’t think it’s supposed to be an instruction, rather a nod to an aircraft flap that would be annotated ‘Lift’.

Yep, that and the ‘lift’ on the buckle. Otherwise it’s a great looking watch...
