What's not to love, I really enjoy the way it turns to subvert the initial premise, many excellent performances, Clooney is outstanding, Salmas' table top snake dance, Cheech Marin on the door with his epic 'come on in pussy lovers' spiel, a really hilarious send up of promotional advertising/carnival barker, he plays 2 further roles...It's a proper full on entertaining Roller-coaster of a movie. 'death' Cult classic imho.

Exactly, Clooney is much better when he plays a role like this instead of some ageing romantic, Tarantino cast him perfectly and I like liked Tarantino’s character, complete psycho waiting to get out...

Imo one of Clooney's best is The American. And Violante Placido, wow, amazing looking as the whore girlfriend.

On the topic of Clooney, I am shocked that no one has mentioned Old Brother. A Cohen Brothers classic plus it has John Goodman.

And whilst on the topic of John Goodman, what about The Big Lebowski

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Just watching Cabaret on Talking Pictures. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy this kitsch Nazi era movie.

    I agree.

The film often gets slated, but I thought it was excellent, as was Clooney in it.

You can't do best 3, ask 4 people and you'll get 5 opinions, but 3 I can watch over...

    Lawrence Of Arabia
Point Break (the Keanu Reeves one)
    The Terminal

A nod, too, to A Bridge Too Far, Star Wars and Harvey.

Interesting you should mention Life Force. I watched it just last night! For me, its only saving grace was the gorgeously naked Mathilda May. The rest was tedious and mediocre 1980s sci-fi.

It fits into the 'so bad it's good' category for me. The acting is so awful I find it enormously entertaining.
