    Watch intentions for 2020

What are your plans for 2020?

Consolidation/downsizing? A particular purchase, maybe a complication you currently don't have?

Mine is the acquisition of a Damasko DC66.

    Over to you...

Rolex 14060 if I can finally bag one. Hoping to expand my interests into other brands also.

Edit: would like to add an AP back to the collection, either 15300 or 25860.

I値l be trying to put off getting a Breitling Navitimer 01 (the 43mm one) for as long as possible into 2020. Suspect I値l make it at least to mid January

A Vacheron Constantin Patrimony or nothing for me. So, nothing, obviously.

    Which one?

For myself - try and continue selling a few things. Maybe. I have two targets for 2020 with one potentially being pricey enough that it forces my hand to sell some of my core collection. But as ever, the aim is to continue to be thankful and enjoy what I have.

I'm keen on a Ming, if the stars align.

I’d really like to add an AP 15202, but I’m actually pretty happy with what I have. I’ve pretty much given up on a new ceramic Daytona and/or GMT although both of those would e absolute keepers if I could get hold of them.

Notwithstanding the above I’d like to go down to no more than ten watches, but I seem to find consolidating quite difficult because I like all my watches.

Sell lots of watches in order to pay off the mortgage and go into semi-retirement.

Buy more, sell more, possibly consolidate into something, but no firm plans

  16. #16
    Probably something from Omega.
    Maybe a Damasko.
    Possibly an Oris.

    No firm plans!

I致e stayed away from buying new Rolexs since they became difficult to get hold of (this year I picked up a GS Snowflake and an Omega Moonwatch), however my Rolex itch is still there.

During 2020 I値l see if I can get on a list for either a white faced Daytona or a GMT. If that isn稚 possible I値l probably look to get on the list for a two tone (black / brown bezel) GMT.

  19. #19
    Buy less wear more.

Would like to acquire a GS snowflake eventually.. and maybe a IWC spitfire chrono - but may need to sell a few to justify the changes 😂

    cheers

This year has been a period of almost zero watch activity for me, so I have a few pieces on my list for 2020: if all the stars align then it will be a 116519LN, failing that an 1815 up/down in WG. If a star aligns I may end up with a Polaris Date, possibly blue face, and probably more realistic is a Black Bay blue or some sub 」1K fun, maybe a Zodiac, an Autodromo or a Rado Captain Cook...

    oh, and a Baltic :)

The new white dial Seamaster is top of my list. After that maybe a Panerai as my little collection is without one at the moment and maybe something two tone as I致e never had one.

Sell 2-4 of 8 piece collection.

Buy an A Lange and Sohne towards end of year. Probably a Saxonia thin, or a 1815.

Will wait and see what happens at Basel world but have developed a bit of a hankering for the omega 60th collection, if I can find one at a good price I'd find it hard to say no....

A white faced watch of some description(I have about 10 black faced ones)
Also a mk1 maxi dial 5513 if a nice one pops up.

Finish 2020 with fewer watches and a lower net worth than at the start of the year. At least half of my collection are rarely, if ever, worn.

the same as every year no intention to buy anything and determined to reduce the silly amount I own.

I am quite sure I will buy something I dont need or want and sell very few or even none.

Maybe a Zenith if some type or a Grand Seiko GMT Spring Drive, I'm definitely going to try a Farer as well and I'll wait and see what Tudor release at Baselworld if they release a Sub...

Depending on the year it may be

    Nothing new.
An Srowa Partitio Klassik in black, although the 5 ATMs is a concern
An Oris Divers 65 either the 40mm or the 36mm
A Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36mm with the blue Arabic dial.

The one I've been obsessed with as long as I've been preoccupied with watches is the 40mm two-hander (opaline dial in RG, please) but I recognise that in my scruffy life it would look as happy as a pearl in a muddy puddle.

At the rate of price drops in SC it might be too late. Price rise might save some people.

Something white dialed and dressy, or at least 'very smart'. I'd love a rose gold omega deville tresor but there are other possibilities.... All of which are not cheap so actually 2020 will be all about saving. Same for next couple of years.

My main intention is some STS refurbs of watches already in my collection. The SMF300 for case only, and the Great White for full works. Keep being indecisive about having my Mk2 Speedy case refurbed, we'll see.

I'm sure I'll add something, I'd like to think a Speedsonic or TV dial Speedy but doubt it will be either of those next year.

Currently pretty happy with the four I have and don稚 like to go above that number as I知 not great at rotating. Three appear to be keepers, at least for now.

Any change will likely be linked to my Tudor GMT as it is boarding on the slightly large side and so that could possibly go. If it does, I値l replace with another GMT and I知 currently leaning towards the Explorer II.

Having recently completed a cull of my watch collection throughout 2018/19 with THIS sale (went within 48hrs of being listed on Chrono24) I have no current intentions to add to, or subtract from the reduced collection.
