My lot a very bad day at the office and i think congrats are due to LFC even at this early stage.
I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
I think appointing Arteta was a brave move, but one i fear may prove to be a mistake. I don't see a 37 year-old being able to manage the very difficult characters (and massive egos) one finds in the dressing rooms of top clubs, and unless he turns things around pretty quickly it may be too big an ask for him. I suspect he'll find it difficult to bring big names in, too.
Bit of a bizarre appointment that one on both fronts. For Arteta a brave move considering he would likely of been in the running for the City job after Pep. But, he is clearly backing his ability after learning from one of the worlds best.
But, for me I can see him gaining the respect of the awkward characters in the dressing room and being able to change the culture and mentality of the Arsenal squad. For me that would be a challenge to even the top managers.
Secondly for Arsenal how can they be convinced that he will carry enough of a sway as a manager to attract the type of player and more importantly the types of leaders in the dressing they need to recruit?
For me I can see this one ending in tears for Arsenal and a fat pay out for Arteta.

Arteta will do ok I think. It is a gamble for all involved, but you cannot keep going back to the same pool of managers and chances need to be given to the emerging coaches.
Young, hungry and with something to prove. His man management skills looked well developed already given his actions after the final whistle yesterday. His apprenticeship was served under a decent mentor too. No Arsenal fan, but I actually hope it works out for them and him.
