Is this a forum security breach?

I received this email notification yesterday.

I haven't clicked on any of the links and cant see a thread with this title in watch talk.

What do you make of it?

Looks like phishing. Maybe trying to copy how Tapatalk sends updates.

    Looks distinctly ‘rum’, obviously bogus

Are you using Outlook/Office365 for your email service? That prefix to the tzuk domain is their safelinks service, which is perfectly safe, details here:

The thread could have been deleted which would account for it no longer being in the Watch Talk forum.

Doesn't account for why you got a subscription for it though. So I'm blaming Brexit for that one.

I remember that one - I hadn't subscribed to it though
I'm apparently subscribed to threads that I have no recollection of subscribing to - it's not just activated by manually choosing to subscribe to it, there appear to be other means.

Having had a look at my subscriptions I suspect you subscribe to every thread you’ve responded to.

Except lots of the ones I'm subscribed to I've not responded to, and I can't see why I would have manually subscribed as some are of no interest whatsoever. It's very odd!

Take a look at Default Thread Subscription Mode in General Settings. There you will find an option not to subscribe, plus the various notification options if you do subscribe.

Got the same letter. Never go to links stated in them. Read this security report https://positive-tech.com/research/s...rability-2018/ and be careful with that!

Mine is set to do not subscribe, yet I still get them.
