    Remember watching the world cup final in 66
    Goals from peters and hurst and we won the world cup
    In my 7 year old brain west ham won the world cup and I’ve been a fan ever since

    What a player he was. Like all the greats had time on the ball.
    Had an ability to 'Ghost' into position.
    Watched him innumerable times at the old White Hart Lane.
    RIP.

    An absolute idol from my younger days. Peters, Chivers and Gilzean... such quality between them. A lovely man by all accounts, too.

    Wow my hero while watching the Final in 66, the times me and my mates replicated that goal after the final whistle
