We must have had a shed load of rain last night, the ditch is in full flow.

Still a day and a half in the office to go.

    Enjoy your weekend.

Looks familiar......had this one on the bench a few months ago for some TLC and I was impressed, the dial’s amazing. A very thick acrylic crystal and high WR resistance rating, over 100 metres if I remember rightly, unusual for this style of watch.

This type of dial, where the colour changes from the edge to middle, was popular in the 70s, had one myself back in the day, no idea what happened to it.

Thanks very much, photos really don't do these justice (especially mine!). It took me a loong time to track one down in good nick and I rarely sell but I'll certainly bear you in mind if circs change.

I got this for a very conservative price, I'm not too sure about the authenticity though.

Intriguing, does the bezel rotate turn-o-graph style?

Some great watches and equally good photography on display this week.

It’s been an ‘interesting’ week and while I eventually gave up on the Navimeter 806 re-edition, I got a great deal on this, which I picked up this evening.

HAGWE and an equally great Xmas!

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late reply.

Thank you; yes, it is, indeed, more precisely a Turn-o-graph. I got the cyclops removed when I purchased it around ten years ago as I wanted to have it perform a role different to any other watch I currently have. For me, it's dressy enough to wear formally, but the bezel still gives me some timing functionality to keep it interesting.

The Museum of Military Intelligence has a great collection on BRIXMIS (amongst others). Well worth a visit if you can get there.

It’s a very unusual dial, it changes colour depending on how it catches the light!
