    Loomes, anyone?

And they're making only 9. So, be quick.

I always think that Loomes make watches for Bristol car buyers.

In fact I'd buy a Loomes and a Bristol -- but only if I'd won the lottery.

They've always struck me as the kind of watch bought by an early-middle age chap wearing inherited brogues living at home with Mummy on a rolling East Anglian estate. The red hands are jarring and overall the design is a mish-mash of ideas and styles.

    Clumsy and garish, I’m afraid.

Compare that with something by Dornbluth...............

Not far from me in Stamford, I regularly peer into their window, for me they are stunningly DULL, fail to understand why they don’t make something a little more contemporary, they are clearly capable

I'm surprised they didn't use Times New Roman or perhaps one of the other sh*t serif fonts that come free with Windows.

    Abysmal
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Certainly not exactly inspiring is it? Is OK, and that's about all I can say about it.

Why does it have a turtle poking out of it?

The camera lens is not perfectly aligned with the dial, so it probably looks worse than it actually is.... the chronograph hand that is.

Looking at the Arabic numerals for the minutes - some are straight, some are italic with a rightward lean and '10' appears to have a leftward lean.

'Stamford' is as large as the brand name but appears larger, as it's crowded by the minute register.

It looks odd and poorly considered.

And the two hash marks around the 53 minute hash look not to have been completed.

    Good spot.

It honestly looks a like a bad re-dial job you'd find on a vintage watch, where the type face is inconsistent as it's poorly aligned and distorted and the dial has missing details.

I guess you all think these are bugs rather than features.

But remember that I said that I think that this is a watch for Bristol car buyers? Well, those buyers will see these bugs (if they even notice them) as features. ;-)
