    That’s rather nice!
Not sure about the date but I could live with it

"At just a hair under 40mm, this watch is going to look right on most wrists, …"

Not with a 50mm lug to lug it won't. There doesn't look to be much curve on it either so for most people it will just stick out over the wrist.

If you're going to go to the bother of having a nice symmetrical dial with a date at 6, then why spoil it with superfluous writing at 3. That's enough for me to ignore this watch.

I kind of agree. Given the name they should have just stuck it at 6 and then only had the depth rating in feet.

It's also a lot of money for an eta 2824

I have the P-104 which I'm fairly sure uses the same case, and it wears very comfortably on my 175mm wrist. It's not a "tall" watch, and the lug bars are set quite low, which helps.

    Lugs are far too long.

I’ll wait for Eddie's interpretation of the Caribbean. Does look nice though.

Wierd article that on W&W, with a picture of a totally unrelated O&W caribbean advert, one with the complicated Jenny bezel, in Yellow, and shrouded lugs.
Surely someone picked the wrong piccie

It's nice but every time I look at it I think the lugs are too long.

That's gonna be of manly thickness, and I'm not a fan of the exposed crown (it's an accident waiting to happen). I agree the lugs look too long. But, sure someone will like it.

Im a big fan of O&W and have 3 pieces from over the past 10 or 15 years. My favorite being the Mirage III

Back in the day you had to purchase direct from Mr A Wajs himself.

I really like the new pieces and I'm delighted they went for 39mm.

    Comedy lugs

Just see the comedy long lugs sticking out from the small case...too long and too straight - and its expensive. Shame, I do like their dials but just couldn't live with the unbalanced long lugs. I'd think they'd be even more prominent with a strap rather than bracelet. Why use a 39mm case if your going to have it with 50mm l2l??
