This one is the basis for what I've done in the past and I was very pleased (so was the wife). Nice and simple.

Hi all,
Does anyone have, or can point me to, a really good reliable recipe for this? Preferably one you've done and know is great!
Many thanks,

I used this one https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/l...hermidor_73972
its is James Martins
Thanks folks.
FWIW, it’s 2019!
Indeed, it really is a classic, very tasty if you get the balance of flavours right. I tended to go for max 1.2kg lobsters as they provided more sweet tasting meat.
I'd trust Rick Stein to get it right, here's his recipe. In fact he runs courses teaching you how to make it!

I like Luke Honey for retro recipes this looks very similar to Rick Stein's.

Both of those look idiot proof (they’ll need to be), although might swap parmesan for gruyere. Thanks for posting.
One way to ruin a lobster for me is to do it thermidor .
