Sapphire, hardex, acrylic or... Gorilla Glass?

Now I've seen smartwatches use gorilla glass but never a traditional watch? Any other makers doing this?

corning gorilla glass is used on all our smart phones and has got harder over the years. it is very good....how many of us bother with any knd of screen protector these days? that said, I can see some fine scratches on my pixel...silica/dirt trapped in a pocket is hard enough to scratch it. I've no idea how it compares to sapphire though.

I always use a glass tempered screen protector on my phone - always - and always will - lot cheaper to replace than a cracked screen.

Has anyone put a screen protector on their watch

A colleague does on his apple watch. He has a rubber case painted to look like polished stainless steel (really does look real) and a screen protector on top!

Doubt anyone would put one on a traditional watch. Would be a bit weird.

I was considering a Garmin Fenix as a daily for work and for cycling/hill walking. I haven't found a store that stocks the standard Gorilla Glass model (Argos have them) but have seen the Sapphire DLC model but I found the display to be washed out. I know the display isn't AMOLED and won't match the likes of the Apple Watch (not a fan) but I don't see the point in a great big display if it's difficult to read.

Has anyone got a Gorilla Glass Gorilla Fenix and how did it hold up to daily use?
